APSA Curtiss C-46
Fue el primer tipo utilizado por APSA, con el se inicio las operaciones en Junio de 1957 en la ruta Lima- Antofagasta -Santiago, este avion termino sus dias en esta compañia como cargero al ser
reemplazado por aviones de más capacidad
y mucho más modernos como el DC-6 y DC-7. Las dos primeras aeronaves utilizadas fueron el OA-OAA-470 y el OA-OAB-471 seguidos por un tercero usado solo para vuelos cargeros con el registro OB-R-829. La siguiente ilustración muestra el avión con el pintado "aparente" usado en su etapa inicial, desgraciadamente no he conseguido hasta el dia de hoy ninguna foto de esta aeronave en su versión de pasajeros, el gráfico ha sido hecho en base a explicaciones hechas por Javier Goto.

the company started the first operations network from Lima to Santiago via Antofagasta in June, 1957, finished it days as freight transporter after been replaced by the most modern and bigger DC-6s and DC-7 . The first two aircraft used the registrations OA-OAA-470 and OA-OAB-471 followed by a third, the OB-R-829 used as cargo aircraft only.The following view shows the "supposed" livery of this aircraft in its passengers configuration, unfortunatelly no pictorial reference material of this aircraft has been found to this time.

inicial con la bandera peruana pequeña en la deriba y la final con la misma más grande cubriendo el timón de dirección completamente, el motivo de este cambio fue una regulación de ladirección general de aviación civil del Perú.

El ultimo C-46 de APSA frente a los hangares de la compañia, notese el logo con la palabra "CARGA" denotando el
tipo de operaciones a los cuales fue asignado este ultimo avión de este tipo especialmente comprado con este objetivo
a finales de los años sesenta.
